On February 23rd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm we will welcome you to our first Wine 101, hosted by local sommelier, Terry Stingley, aka The Wine Guru.
Terry will take us on a wine and travel adventure, where we will explore the differences between Old World and New World wines, cool and warm-climate grapes, and the famous "Deductive Tasting Method", the sommelier's secret weapon for can't-miss wine tasting. The first hour of this event we will be covering the education portion of the event, which will include tasting. From 7:30pm-8:30pm there will be time to enjoy wine, socialize and ask Terry any questions you may have after the class.
Our Wine 101 is far removed from any pretension. The days of the wine snob are over, and you'll laugh as much as you learn. But learn a few things you shall. We promise that you will walk away with a new appreciation for the nectar of the gods. And a lasting appreciation for Dablon's Burgundy-influenced wines.
You might well have heard Terry's "Wine Guru" segments, and his fun approach to wine education, on various radio spots. He spent 5 years on WKZO in Kalamazoo, and another 2 years on Pat Moody's morning show out of Benton Harbor. He has made numerous TV appearances, and has lectured on wine, food, and travel around the country.
So mark your calendar, shake off the winter blues, and join us for a night of fun, shared laughter, and excellent wine.
This event is limited to 26 guests. Cost is $30.
