Tasting Notes: Aromas of bell pepper and savory cranberries on the nose lead to flavors of black berries and creamy dark chocolate with a long dry finish.
Pairing Suggestions: Gruyere or Taleggio cheese, mushrooms, venison, braised beef or filet mignon
Vintage Year: Other than a late spring frost that caused minimal damage in some areas, the growing season was great. A two-week long warm spell mid-September ripened grapes fast, leading to a cool and dry harvest.
Winemaking Methods: Handpicked grapes, 100% stainless steel fermentation. Malolactic fermentation, barrel aged, fined, cold stabilized and filtered.
